The 'sanctus' series is an example of work which is expansive, meditative and aligned.

The 'backbone' and 'marrow' series are series that are quite different from 'sanctus', they are bursts of energy about total transformation; metamorphosis.

Unlike in series such as 'earth', 'sanctus' and 'earthwaterfall'; I use pigments as well as store bought acrylics, oils, and watercolours in the 'backbone' and 'marrow' painting series.

Where appropriate, in certain series of paintings, I embed modern /contemporary waste objects, barely visible; within the mixed media paintings.

Amongst other used objects, an example of this, is  an electrical circuit board which is 'buried in the painting 'torcha' which is from the 'earth' painting series.

The image to the left of this text is also from the 'earth' series, called  'la gueule'  (in the mobile, version the painting is shown at the top)

Sand, earth, pigments, seeds, rocks and so on, are collected by me on my travels from various places around the world. Places that I feel hold strength. These natural elements are integrated in the works, as 'mana' 'chi' or explained as powerful life force energy in nature.

I create structures / sculptures for public spaces, that embed in a very subtle way, the idea of interconnectivity; such as the Portal Glass Sculpture Series which was started in Switzerland in 2013 and was part of the Sculpture Biennale in Montreux on the lake of Geneva, CH.

I plan to create several Portals on a very specific placement around the world. For more info. on the 'Portal Project' please contact me by clicking 'contact' on this site.

There are also sculpture works in ceramic, coal, soap, sugar, wax and other less commonly used materials. I like to see how time changes certain works made from less long lasting materials. Less sizable works created with less lasting materials are an important part of my sculpture work as well.

The ode series, for example, is a photography series in 4 interpretations, each is an edition of 10 archival prints which abstractly resemble different hues of what could be the iris and pupil of an eye; yet in actuality, they are a series photographed of an immense opening at the top of a spherical building, in Paris, France.

I have a vapour like powdered pigment technique which makes some  photographic

series look less like a photograph, then work in a different medium.

Examples of such photographic images are:

'la boca' limited edition photograph and the four 'dark' images of the 'continuum' series.

My low fire glass work is introspective, aligned, spacious work, examples of these low fire glass works are: sable, wen, isis, sorus, li series.

They are created in such a way as to hold a matt yet luminous essence, they are fine, mounted pieces and have a 'sand-like' texture.

By contrast, the 'versus' and 'quadras' glass series are bright coloured high shine, high fired pigment glass works.

These brightly coloured opaque works include the glass woks on sculpture 'Portal #1'
